Letter R Poem

Just about every letter of the alphabet has a song or poem to go along with it. Sing the song or read the poem to your child, teach them how to sing it and you may be able to make up a song or impromptu dance. Think of other songs or poems that you can use to teach the alphabet!

Rain, rain, go away,
Come again another day;
Little Johnny wants to play.

R is for Rocket

If I were a rocket
Shot high across the night,
I’d rather burst in silver stars
Than green or purple light;

For then, perhaps, I’d fool the moon,
Although she’s very wise,
And thinking me a baby star
She’d keep me in the skies.
